As the season changes into the cooler temperatures of fall, our car requires some special attention after a summer of constant motion.  Even with longer days and warm nights, summer still seems to soak up all of our time, until we find ourselves and our vehicles in need of a fall face lift.  Somehow the drive-thru bags have become an entity of their own and there are enough receipts, extra clothes and miscellaneous papers in the backseat you’re surprised anyone or anything can fit into your Honda Civic anymore.  It is time de-clutter the car and get rid of the bags of fun in the backseat. Where are the Best Pumpkin Patches near Gainesville GA

With Halloween only a few short weeks away, it is time to start to decorate the house for the haunted holiday.  It doesn’t take much to get prepared for Halloween, and if you don’t want to set up an entire cemetery display or have bats hanging from every branch in your front yard, that’s ok.  But if you are handing out Halloween candy at your house and don’t have any demonic decorations anywhere to be seen, you are doing a disservice to yourself and every child that trick-or-treats at your door.  Take the time to at least put a pumpkin or two on the porch to invoke the Halloween spirit.  If you must, you can pick up a pumpkin at almost every corner store this time of year, but if you want the authentic experience you have to go to the source.  Picking the perfect pumpkin for the pumpkin patch is an event, unlike going to the grocery store for a pumpkin.  Gather up the whole family and get out pumpkin picking at these seven Gainesville, GA area pumpkin patches. How Much Time Do I Save by Speeding

How Much Time Do I Save by Speeding?

We have all seen the driver in the Audi weaving in and out of traffic until they find an open stretch of road and disappear over the horizon.  Besides the obvious dangers associated with high speeds, it also agitates other drivers on the road and creates unneeded anxiety.  Wondering what could be so immediately important that would constitute such reckless driving, you assume the driver of the speeding vehicle is late for a flight or there is an unexpected birth taking place.  The next question that crosses your mind is, “How much time does speeding save me?”  If you are thinking of putting the pedal to the metal, you may reconsider when you find out the miniscule amount of time speeding saves.  And because speeding puts the speeding driver and drivers around them at considerable risk, not to mention the embarrassment of getting pulled over and the substantial fine associated with speeding. How Do I know When It’s Time to Replace My Tires

I was driving home from a family vacation recently, when a sudden thunder storm struck and drenched the roads. Being the safe driver that I am, I instantly reduced my speed due to reduced visibility and set my cruise control accordingly, because I know slow driving on highways can be just as dangerous as speeding.  Traffic was light as I drove north on I-985 until just past Oakwood, where I encountered an unusual amount of traffic.  At that same time, an electric flash of lightning instantly cracked with thunder, bringing a crescendo of rain along with it.  As traffic tightened and my anxiety ratcheted up, I feel uncertainty in my tires.  A slight slip was noticeable when I abruptly applied the brakes, sending my heart racing.  The thought that I needed to replace my tires prior to the trip consumed my every thought, and I know I will schedule a service appointment to have them replaced immediately when I get home.
